Flip flops are throwing off the biomechanic systems of your body.
When you wear flip flops running your toes have to curl to grip the front of the flip flop each time you take a step. To do that the muscles on the back of your leg have to contract. This is going to fatigue the back of your leg very quickly. This fatigue of the muscles is going to cause chronically tight muscles and can lead to secondary conditions such as plantar fascistic, shin splints, and torn muscles.
